About Me
Hello, lads! I am WiLDZY (WCv0), but you can call me "wild" for short (or "zemt" or "void"), and I am a male UK-based animator, cartoonist and graphic designer who enjoys creating original and (mostly) fan content.I have had a growing passion for animation since I was in primary school, and started animating with Flipnote Hatena & Pivot Stickfigure Animator, of which I eventually started my online animation journey in Scratch in 2014 for my Computer Science curriculum in secondary school. While I made a few bitesized games, the animation community is what hooked me to code in Scratch, and was my main animation medium. I stayed in the Scratch community for a decade, inspiring other users and unravelling the untapped potential of Scratch as a confident animation software. In 2023, I decided to branch out to reach a wider audience with a range of art and editing software outside of Scratch. As of typing this, I am still kicking with around ~3k subscribers and ~800K views on YouTube.
FAQ
What tools & software do you use for your graphics?
Art-wise, it depends on the scope and the art style. I juggle between Scratch (Turbowarp), Krita and Adobe Animate. I primarily use Audacity (or Scratch/Animate) for sound design, DaVinci Resolve for composition and Affinity & Photopea (sometimes Adobe Photoshop) for graphic design. Currently studying Blender to enhance my graphics further.
What other skills do you have?
I have a "Computer Science" background with experience in UI/UX Design (with Figma and Scratch), Quality Assurance & Software Testing. Other than Scratch, I am experienced with Java & Python. I am currently learning JavaScript, HTML & CSS so I can someday create my website with my creative liberties. Right now, this is my primary website made with carrd.co - It does the job, but I can do better once I get the grasp on HTML.
